Prayer is not a process…

Prayer is not a process, it is a presence.

“Prayer’ get’s a lot of lip service, ….we may join the chorus on Facebook when a friend asks for prayer, or casually, add the tag line to a note, “I’ll be praying for you”… And even, this small acknowledgement that ‘God is on the field’, that one, I am willing to pray, and two, that there is value in prayer, shifts our thought away from the issue toward the power that resolves issues.

Many times we have to turn ourselves away from fears, pains, disappointments to find healing and Truth.

Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other. [ Isaiah 45:22, English Standard Version]

Some teach that here are specific prayers to utter, or methods of specific affirmations to make– None are formulas, per se, –perhaps ways of shifting focus. But as my heading suggests, for me, prayer is not a process.

It, IS a presence. Prayer is way of coming into the full, absolute blinding, sparkly, thundering fireworks and, quiet whisper of God. THEN real prayer happens. Then you  listen, then God shouts, “You are my beloved child”, then there is no disease, no fear, then all needs are met. Prayer is God talking to us, not the other way around.

Prayer is when we experience God.
