This Good Friday….I’ve been thinking a lot about Jesus’ request to his disciples to watch. To watch, to observe closer, to guard and protect, to serve….that Good Friday request is still with us.
I have been increasing my daily time studying the bible lesson that is the basis for our week, and our Sunday services. It generally takes about an hour.–so “could you not watch with me one hour?” seems a pretty small request to answer, yes to. For the man, who more than all others exemplifies and amplifies God’s love for all of us. It’s not a clock thing either, it’s a depth of prayer and a re-acceptance of grace daily, minute by minute. That command to watch? Pretty powerful stuff.
Easter Blessing.
